Solar energy is a form of electricity that is actively produced by light and the Sun, which burns intensely millions of miles away. The energy can be produced onsite to power your building or electronics. It does however require the installation of additional electrical equipment that needs to be properly placed, mounted, and connected to your home or building.

This equipment includes Solar or Photovoltaic (PV) Panels usually grouped together in an array to produce more electricity, a raised roof rack secured to your roof, wiring and conduit to protect it, a new panel box with breakers, an inverter that converts the Direct Current or DC electricity to Alternating Current or AC, as well as a separate meter that can also be installed to measure and monitor the electricity being produced. Additional items also include an optional battery backup system and storage rack to store the electricity for use at a later time.
