How It Works
As a new SKY Energy customer, you will be purchasing predetermined quantities of Wind-e® Renewable Energy Credits, which are the certified environmental attributes and clean air benefits of wind energy as it is generated.
The purchase of renewable certificates helps offset conventional electricity generation in the region where the renewable generator is located. The purchase also helps build a market for renewable electricity and may have other local and global environmental benefits such as reducing global climate change and regional air pollution.
SKY Energy®’s® monthly charge is billed separately from your regular electricity bill. You will continue to receive a separate electricity bill from your utility.
You will receive an electronic monthly statement revealing how much pollution you offset.

How will I be billed?
You will receive an electronic monthly air pollution statement and your credit card will be billed automatically through Pay Pal for Wind-e® Renewable Energyfrom SKY Energy®. You will continue to pay your electricity service provider for electricity charges.
How will my REC bill be calculated?
Each Wind Energy Credit is comparable to 1 kWh of energy generated from a wind resource. Customers can choose to purchase 10,000 kWh, 8,000 kWh or 6,000 kWh for one year. Each kWh is approximately $0.024. The 10,000 kWh option is billed at $19.95 per month, the 8,000 kWh option is billed at $15.95 per month and the 6,000 kWh option is billed at $11.95 per month.
Will my REC rates change over time?
The existing rate structure for your SKY Energy® Wind-e® Renewable Energy is guaranteed for the length of the contract, which is one (1) year.
What fuel sources will be used to generate my REC's?
SKY Energy® Wind-e® Renewable Energy is generated from 100% new wind. See the attached Product Content Label for more information.
What length of agreement/ contract is required?
A one-year agreement is necessary to obtain constant supply.
If I want to terminate this agreement/ contract, what is the early termination fee?
An early termination fee of one monthly payment will apply to products terminated before the end of the contract.
What other fees might I be charged?
If payment is not received by the end of the month, your subscription is cancelled and you will be responsible for that month, plus the early termination fee, which is equal to one month of payment.

You have three (3) business days to change your mind about purchasing REC's from SKY Energy® once you have signed up online. You may cancel your agreement to purchase REC's from SKY Energy® by calling their customer service number or writing to the billing address listed above.
