Brian "Wenie" Weninger is the originator and visionary of SKY Energy®. Some of his friends also call him Yankee.

Masters in Business Administration in Real Estate & Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado at Boulder ('02)

Bachelor of Science in Design with Honors in Architecture from Clemson University ('97)

Graduated Suma Cum Laude from Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville, SC ('93)

Experience:

Brian’s work experience includes helping start and market a new division of Land Title Guarantee Company in Denver, Colorado. In addition, he has worked as an architectural technician for HO+K and SRSS Architects in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked on projects ranging from a 50-story skyscraper, Hearst Tower in Charlotte, North Carolina to environmental laboratories such as the Georgia Tech Environmental Science and Technology Laboratorys. Brian was also a consultant at Design Strategies for the International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) park in Greenville, SC, as well as a facility consultant at Jacobs Engineering for the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Homeland Security.

Brian began researching modern wind turbines in 1997 and then went on a journey across the nation to start and build a clean renewable energy company that would hopefully tie in to his archectural and design background. He created the brand and the company as a symbol of our nation’s freedom to benefit the world community.

His senior thesis was a high-speed rail and mixed-use intermodal transportation center for the I-85 corridor. He also spent a semester studying sustainable design in historic Charleston, South Carolina.

Brian, 34, is a fourth generation US citizen who was born in Clinton, New Jersey where he lived until he was 10 years old and presently lives with his wife Susan and daughter in the Greenville, South Carolina, area where he has spent most of his life. His education and experience in business development, design, project management, marketing, sales experience has shaped his vision for building a progressive, environmentally friendly, and leading-edge company.
